The top radiator hose gets hot but bottom hose stays cold. The system seems to have a great deal of pressure because the hoses are very firm. If i take of the radiator cap the pressure is released and both hoses are soft again. The heater works in the car and the radiator get hot. The car doesn't overheat and doesn't lose water. What I noticed was that at 195 degrees my upper radiator hose was soft like there was no pressure in it. It eventually crept back down to 180 and I eased it back home. I am using a 16lb Stant Lev-R-Vent radiator cap. When I got home It was back up to about 195.
